Our story
Good snacks. Two people fed.
FEEDER is a snack company built on one idea: every snack you buy makes a second one for someone who'd otherwise go without. We started with bars because they're the hardest thing to make properly good and among the easiest to give away well. The idea is bigger than bars.
The order matters to us. Warby Parker didn’t win because it gave glasses away. It won because the glasses were good and fairly priced, and the mission was the reason to prefer them. We hold the same line. The snack has to earn its place in your bag on taste. The give is why you stay.
There is one person behind this, in Boston, paying for it out of pocket. That is also why this site keeps telling you which parts aren’t finished.
Every purchase makes two bars: the one you paid for, and a second built for the person who receives it. Making that one separately is what keeps the giving self-funded, which is the part most one-for-one models get wrong. Why two bars covers the economics, and How It Works covers the steps.
What we believe
Four things we won't trade away.
- Nothing hidden
- Real ingredients, and a short list you can actually read. It's the filter for every sourcing and recipe decision we make.
- One for one, or nothing
- One for one is the foundation, not a campaign we're running. Growth doesn't come at the mission's expense. Growth is more people fed.
- You can check the numbers
- Open about sourcing, pricing, and what we've handed over. The numbers are on the ledger and you're welcome to check them.
- You're the one doing it
- This isn't a donation drive with a snack attached. You buy something you wanted, and the second bar is what that purchase does. No guilt, no ask.
Why we're different
Two bars, one price, published numbers.
Direct impact in every snack
No “portion of proceeds.” One bought, one given, made in monthly runs and written down where you can see it.
Ingredients you can read
Taste first. When the co-packer verifies the numbers, those go up too.
Worth mentioning
Most bars are a transaction you forget by lunch. This one has a second half.
